Announcement of the 10th South China Sea International Conference
The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), the Foundation for East Sea Studies (FESS), and the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association (VLA) are pleased to host the 10th South China Sea International Conference: “Cooperation for Regional Security and Development” on November 8-9, 2018 in Da Nang, Viet Nam.
Objectives:This annual assembling is designed as a Track II forum to review latest developments, identify the drivers behind tensions and calmness, and explore different avenues for conflict management and resolution in the South China Sea region. Marking the 10th anniversary of the inauguration of the Initiative, this year's conference will move beyond an annual review to take stock of transformations in the South China Sea across many sectors over the last decade.
Participants:An exceptional group of more than 30 well-known scholars and experts to make presentations. About 200 - 250 seats will be open for senior officials, business executives, experts, academics, and diplomats as participants.
Registration fee: US$200. Participants should be responsible for his/her own travel and accommodation expenses. The registration fee covers charges for welcome dinner, lunches, coffee breaks, and conference materials.
